足總對蘇亞雷斯禁賽八場

EPL - Liverpool v Bolton Wanderers, Luis Suarez

FA begins hearing into claims Luis Suarez racially abused Manchester United's Patrice Evra

the Football Association have opened the disciplinary hearing into
claims that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez racially abused Manchester
United defender Patrice Evra.

By Telegraph staff and agencies

3:01PM GMT 14 Dec 2011

Suarez has been charged with abusing Evra, and referring to his ''ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race'' by the FA.

The hearing is expected to last for two days with the outcome expected by the end of the week. Both players are due to give evidence to the hearing.

The charge followed a month-long investigation and the Uruguay striker immediately denied the accusation.

Liverpool say they remain ''fully supportive'' of the 24-year-old.

Evra made the claims immediately after the match at Anfield on October
15, telling French TV station Canal Plus that Suarez had used a racist
insult to him ''at least 10 times''.

If Suarez he is found guilty he could be banned or fined, or both.

Evra said: ''There are cameras. You can see him [Suarez ] say a certain word to me at least 10 times.''

Both players spoke to FA officials during the investigation and there
have been suggestions that Suarez was unaware language that is
acceptable in Uruguay is viewed as racist in Europe.

Suarez told Uruguayan media earlier this month: ''There is no evidence I
said anything racist to him. I said nothing of the sort.

''There were two parts of the discussion – one in Spanish, one in
English. I did not insult him. It was just a way of expressing myself. I
called him something his team-mates at Manchester call him, and even
they were surprised by his reaction.''

Evra reported his complaint to match referee Andre Marriner, who included it in his report.

The FA announced the charge last month, alleging Suarez used ''abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour'' towards Evra.

''It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic
origin and/or colour and/or race of Patrice Evra,'' said the FA.

Liverpool said after the charge: ''Luis remains determined to clear his name of the allegation made against him by Patrice Evra.

''The club remain fully supportive of Luis in this matter.''

One of the biggest movie stars on the planet has outed himself as a Liverpool fan.

Brad Pitt revealed his affection for the Reds during an interview about his latest film, Moneyball.

Asked who his favourite football team was, he replied: "I have some
friends who are very close to Liverpool, so if I went another way I
might be disowned."

Pitt's partner Angelina Jolie is a well-known Kopite.

Her support stems from the time she filmed Tomb Raider in North Wales,
during which her adopted son Maddox spent three days receiving treatment
at Alder Hey Hospital.

Maddox became a huge Liverpool fan as a result - and his love for the Reds seems to be spreading through Hollywood.

WEST BROMWICH, ENGLAND - APRIL 02: Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez of Liverpool look dejected after a missed chance during the Barclays Premier League match between West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool at The Hawthorns on April 2, 2011 in West Bromwich, England. (Photo by Michael Regan/Getty Images)

Inter Milan Gunning for Dirk Kuyt in January?

The biggest Liverpool transfer-related rumor this week may have to do with a departure rather than an arrival.

According to a report this week from CaughtOffside, Inter Milan are
looking to make an offer for Reds winger and Anfield fan favorite Dirk
Kuyt in January. The Nerazzurri are reportedly willing to offer up to
£13 million to bring Kuyt to San Siro in an effort to bring a bit more
depth to their attack and with Kuyt appearing in the first team less and
less thanks to a glut of recent midfield acquisitions who can play the
right side (Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson, etc.), he may be looking for
a change of scenery come January.

For more on Dirk Kuyt's role in Liverpool F.C., check out Thomas
Atzenhoffer's piece on why he should start in the Merseyside Derby.

Arsenal v LIVERPOOL: Flanagan set to retain full-back role

Arsenal v LIVERPOOL: Flanagan set to retain full-back role with Johnson still out

Young gun: Flanagan (centre) has impressed since breaking into the Liverpool side

Defender Glen Johnson is the only injury doubt for Liverpool's trip to Arsenal.

The England defender missed last week's opening match with a hamstring
injury and manager Kenny Dalglish rates him as his only doubt for the
trip to the Emirates Stadium.

Dalglish may opt to make changes with Martin Kelly and Dirk Kuyt pushing for starting places.

Provisional squad: Reina, Kelly, Carragher Agger, Enrique, Adam, Lucas,
Kuyt, Suarez, Downing, Carroll, Doni, Flanagan, Skrtel, Henderson,
Meireles, Spearing, Ngog, Robinson, Aurelio, Rodriguez.

Bolton offer £4m plus add-ons for Liverpool star

Bolton Wanderers will launch a £4million bid for Liverpool striker David Ngog.

http://live4liverpool.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/david-ngog-5.jpg

The deal will include potential add-ons as well after the Trotters had a
£3.5million offer rejected for the 22-year-old last month by the Reds.

The Frenchman has never established himself in the first-team at Anfield
and has scored only nine league goals in 63 games since arriving from
Paris St Germain in 2008.

He has slipped further down the pecking order following last January's
arrival of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez to complement Dirk Kuyt as the
club's forwards, according to the Times.

Ngog was to be included as part of the deal that saw Jordan Henderson
move to Liverpool from Sunderland, but the hit-man could not agree
personal terms with the Black Cats.

Alberto Aquilani returning to Liverpool - agent

Aquilani

The agent that represents Alberto Aquilani says his client will be reporting back for pre-season training with Liverpool.

Franco
Zavaglia has so far been unable to negotiate the player's exit, with
the Reds refusing to give in to Juventus by dramatically reducing the
previously agreed asking price. That has left the 26-year-old in limbo.

Speaking earlier today, Zavaglia said: "Aquilani is going back to Liverpool."

We
didn't really want to cover his brief quote because it's obvious that
he would have to report back if no new club was found. But Zavaglia's
words are all over the place now so we thought we'd best touch on it
for you.

If Aquilani does report back, there will still be time
for Liverpool to arrange a loan deal if a buyer isn't found, before the
window slams shut.

A pointless news article really as nothing has changed.

Liverpool move for Zapata

ZAPATA 'CLOSE TO LIVERPOOL MOVE'

Udinese defender has revealed that he is close to agreeing a deal with Liverpool.

The Colombia international is rated as one of the best defenders in
Serie A and he played a major role in helping them into the UEFA
Champions League next season.

He is currently back in South America preparing for the Copa America,
but he has revealed that he is in talks about leaving Italy.

The 24-year-old has stated that Liverpool and Bayern Munich have both
made moves for his signature, but he admits that he is close to sealing
a switch to Anfield.

Asked about his future by La FM, he said: "I do not know what to say, I can say that I am very close to Liverpool.

"At the end of the Copa America, we will see what happens with my future.

"I have gained experience, but the time has come for me to make the jump to a big team."

Zapata, who has been with Udinese for four years, plays in central
defence but is also capable of playing in either full-back position.

A previous target of Arsenal, Zapata currently has two years left on his contract at the Stade Friuli.

大帝正式登基

Kenny Dalglish the best choice for Liverpool manager, says owner John Henry

Fenway Sports Group and Liverpool FC today confirmed that Kenny Dalglish has been appointed as Team Manager.

Dalglish, who was initially given the job until the end of the current
campaign, has signed a three year deal with the Reds. It was also
announced that First Team Coach Steve Clarke has put pen to paper on a
three year contract.

Principal Owner John Henry said: "Kenny is a legendary Liverpool figure
both as a supremely gifted footballer and successful manager. Since
returning in January he has shown extraordinary leadership and the
ability to bring the best out of so many people associated with the
Club. It was obvious to us very early on that the atmosphere
surrounding the Club had been transformed by his presence. No one else
could have produced such a response. Therefore, I'm delighted we have
agreed to a new contract. We didn't need nor want to look elsewhere for
the right man to manage the team.

"Working closely with him, we've seen first-hand his love for the Club
and his determination to do whatever is necessary to produce a winning
side again. He has a unique relationship with our supporters and
embodies everything that is special about the Liverpool way of doing
things. Liverpool enjoys a global standing within the sport, but having
Kenny in the dug-out will help us in our efforts to bring the best
available talent to the Club as we continue to move the club forward.

"I'm also pleased we have reached an agreement with Steve Clarke, as
his contribution to Kenny's backroom team has been significant over the
past four months."

Chairman Tom Werner commented: "It was extremely important that we
enjoyed a period of stability after some difficult times and Kenny has
done a tremendous job over the last three months in bringing the whole
Club back together. It's clear how much the players have responded to
his leadership, his man management skills and knowledge of the game and
that sense of optimism now runs throughout the Club. We have a clear
vision of the way a Liverpool team should play and the way the Club
should be run and Kenny's inspirational effect on the senior squad and
his keenness to involve and feature the younger players from our
Academy set-up sits perfectly with that way of thinking."

John Henry added: "This has been an exciting time in the history of the
Club.  The appointments of Ian Ayre and Damien Comolli and now Kenny
represent a significant strengthening of our senior management team
going forward. We face a huge challenge to take Liverpool back to the
level its fans deserve and in an increasingly competitive environment,
but I'm confident we now have the right people in place to do that."

Managing Director Ian Ayre said: "This is great news and it was an easy
decision to make in the sense that there was never anybody else in the
running. Over the last few months everybody has had a great opportunity
to work together; the owners, Kenny, Damien and myself and it's there
to be seen what Kenny and Steve Clarke have achieved together.

"I'm not surprised by what Kenny has achieved since he returned to the
Club. It's an amazing achievement for him to have got us where we are
but somebody who I respect a lot in football said to me once if you are
going to pick a manager then pick a winner and that's what Kenny is.
For a long time we have needed people here who really understand what
this Club is, what it means to our fans and what makes it different to
other clubs. Kenny knows that inside out and I think that's a key
quality. He understands what matters at Liverpool and what needs to be
done here."

Kenny Dalglish said: "I said when I took the job on in January that I
was just happy to help the Club out for the remainder of the
season.  Now the owners have decided in their wisdom that they want me
to stay a little longer and it's fantastic news for both myself and
Steve Clarke that we have signed these contracts. Both John and Tom
have taken their time to assess what was best for the football club and
bring in the people they wanted to take the Club forward.  They are
both winners, but understand what the supporters want from a Liverpool
side and the way that we should go about things. This is a unique
football Club and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to help build
something special here again.

"I want to salute the efforts of all the players as they have been
fantastic and thank everyone at the Club for the welcome they have
given me since I returned in January.

"I also want to pay tribute to Steve Clarke's input since we started
working together as he has brought great experience and knowledge to
the role. The players enjoy the training sessions, understand their
relevance to our actual football games and have responded brilliantly."
